OGRE is a AI-based tech company, striving to empower the energy sector with accurate production, consumption and losses forecasts. Multiple Romanian and international clients are already using our AI solutions to optimize their energy flows, reduce costs for end consumers, minimize waste, and lower carbon emissions.

What will you be doing?

  • Contribute to research and innovation activities aimed at developing and enhancing energy flow optimization services, as well as automating decision-making processes by integrating predictive models and advanced algorithms.

  • Develop and optimize Python scripts for parsing, cleaning, and processing large datasets from various sources. Ensure the quality and consistency of the data through the implementation of robust pre-processing procedures.

  • Detect anomalies or unusual data patterns and implement strategies for their resolution.

  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden relationships and trends, utilizing statistical methods and machine learning techniques.

  • Refine or develop new predictive models and machine learning algorithms to improve the accuracy of forecasts and optimization services.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to create scalable and autonomous solutions for AI-driven services.

What the ideal candidate should bring:

  • Strong knowledge of statistics, as well as of research and development of machine learning models.

  • Excellent programming skills in Python, including experience with relevant data science and machine learning libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).

  • Ability to efficiently work with large datasets and use SQL or other database technologies for data querying.

  • Previous experience in energy forecasting or working within the energy industry.

  • Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers, product teams, and other colleagues to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field with good experience in IT.
